YOUR LIBRARY STAYS YOURS
Your stories. Your privacy.
Dashow does not send your video library or viewing activity to the developer. Imported videos stay on your device. Connected sources receive the requests needed to browse or play their content. Apple handles App Store purchases.
Your library and connected sources
Imported video copies, playback progress, favorites, and local library records are stored on your device. Connections to media servers, file shares, video URLs, and playlists make requests to the sources you choose. Those services handle requests under their own policies.
Supported server tokens and saved connection credentials are stored in the device’s Keychain. Optional iCloud features, when available and enabled, use your private iCloud account for supported library and source data; they do not upload your video files to a developer-operated library.
Screen sharing and external playback
Cast to Car uses the system’s screen-sharing controls and the display you select. Content shown on your phone may be included in that session. Start sharing only when you intend to share that content, and end the session through the system controls when finished.
The selected receiver and any service whose content you open operate under their own settings and privacy policies.
Artwork and purchases
If you enable Online Artwork & Info, video titles, years, and episode numbers are sent to TMDB to find artwork and information. This option is controlled in the app’s Settings. TMDB handles those requests under its own policy.
Apple processes App Store purchases. Dashow uses purchase and entitlement information to recognize purchases and restores; the app does not receive your full payment-card details.
This website and support messages
dashow.app serves static pages through Cloudflare. This version of the website does not set advertising cookies, include third-party analytics, or collect form submissions. The hosting provider processes request information, such as IP address and technical request details, to deliver and protect the site.
App Store links take you to Apple. If you email support, the message and contact information you choose to send are used to respond to your request. Do not include passwords, access tokens, or private videos.
Your choices and questions
You can remove imported copies, downloads, and connected sources in the app, and manage permissions in iOS Settings. Deleting a local download does not delete its original from your media server. Manage optional artwork and other available preferences in Dashow Settings.
